Get a Book On Us!
John loved to read books, especially books on science fiction. As a boy, he even read one of the Harry Potter series of books in a single day! Reading to children, and giving them books to read, is crucial to development of their intellectual and social skills. Reading a book can also provide an excellent educational resource for parents and children alike who are seeking solutions to the difficult problems John’s Foundation is dedicated to addressing. A book can literally save a life.
Is there a book about ADHD, Hyper-fixation or Internet addiction that you would like to buy but that you can’t afford to purchase? Or a book you would like to give as a gift to your ADHD child or young adult to help them gain a new perspective? No worries! As a part of our charitable giving mission, we are here to help. Please send us the author, title and cost of the book you would like. We will review your request, and if we determine it to be appropriate to our mission, we’ll buy the book for you and have it sent to you free of charge.
We strongly support reading on a broad variety of subjects, but we respectfully ask that any book you are requesting us to purchase for you or your child be helpful and relevant in some way to the treatment of ADHD, Hyper-fixation or Internet technology addiction. Such books can include non-fiction books on those topics for parents, or both fiction and non-fiction books written to engage the developing minds of children and young adults. If you are in doubt about whether a book meets our criteria, we encourage you to ask!
